The new “CONFIANZA ONLINE’s Code” covers information concerning commercial communications on new media and Electronic commerce with consumers, in addition to the data protection, minor protection, accessibility and usability.
Before it was issued, the draft text of the Code was submitted to the Spanish Data Protection Agency, the Information Society General’s Directorate of the Industry, Tourism and Commerce Ministry and the National Institute on Consumer Affairs for their approval before entering into force. The Ethical Code has been registered as a standard code in the General Register of the Spanish Data Protection Agency, with the number CT/0004/2002.
